A filly from the first crop of Grade 1 winner Paynter sold for $185,000 at Tuesday’s Fasig-Tipton July sale, with Lansdowne Stable coming away the winning bidder.

Cataloged as hip No. 260, the filly was consigned by Baccari Bloodstock. The bay juvenile is the second foal out of the stakes winner Indian Legend; her first foal is a 2-year-old that has yet to start. Indian Legend is a full sister to Suwannee S. (G3) winner Cherokee Queen.

Paynter, a top three weanling sire of 2015 by sales average, bred over 155 mares in 2015 and stood the 2016 at WinStar Farm for $20,000 live foal, stands and nurses.
