The sales results for leading sire Pioneerof the Nile remained strong during Day 1 of the OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training, with a colt by the WinStar stallion bringing $300,000 from winning bidders L. E. B./D. J./D. I.

The colt, cataloged as hip No. 148 was consigned by Bobby Dodd, agent. The dark bay juvenile’s catalog page is filled with black type, including his stakes-winning dam Sangam and her stakes-placed foal Zaahy, by More Than Ready. Sangam is a half-sister to stakes winner May Night, dam of multiple Grade 2 winner Red Rifle
