2016 top-five sire Congrats had a filly sell for $385,000 during the Wednesday session of the OBS March Sale of Selected 2-year-olds in Training.
Consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. and cataloged as hip No. 332, the dark bay filly, named Overture, was purchased by WinStar Farm.
Her dam, Toccet Over, is the dam of Mexikoma, recent winner of the $250,000 Sunshine Millions Classic and third in the Donn H. (G1).
Congrats is the nation’s leading sire of stakes winners, with six, including a trio of graded winners led by top 3-year-old fillies Venus Valentine and Forever Darling. He also ranks third by progeny earnings and winners.
