$475,000 Commissioner filly highlights Wednesday OBS 2yo sale
Wednesday, April 24, 2019

Commissioner had his best results of the April 23-26 OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training on Wednesday when a filly by the First-Crop stallion brought a winning bid of $475,000.

The tandem of Solis and Litt were the winning bidders on hip No. 365, consigned by Q Bar J Thoroughbreds LLC.

“She had all the parts and pieces as a yearling and she bloomed and turned into just what we hoped she would,” said Q Bar J’s Quincy Adams.

The bay juvenile, who had attracted plenty of attention after a :20 1/5 bullet quarter-mile during the Under Tack show, is from the same family as champion and leading sire Cozzene.

With two days remaining in the auction, Commissioner has eight additional lots in the catalog.
