$750K colt tops spectacular Keeneland opener for More Than Ready

Led by a $750,000 colt, More Than Ready had four yearlings sell during day 1 of the Keeneland September sale, with all four bringing a winning bid of at least $250,000.

Taylor Made consigned More Than Ready’s leading seller, which went to John Ferguson. Catalogued as hip No. 101, the colt is out of the Distorted Humor graded-placed mare Baffled, making the Kentucky bred colt a half-brother to millionaire multiple grade 1 winner Constitution and grade 3 winner Jacaranda.

Hip No. 103, a filly consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales, went for $350,000 to Let’s Go Stable. The dark bay is the first foal out of grade 2 placed Bahama Bound. Hip No. 7 went to Mike Ryan, agent. From the Pope McLean consignment, the filly is closely related to Alabama S. (G1) Runup the Colors, dam of Louisiana Derby (G2) winner Revolutionary.

Late in the Monday session hip No. 215, consigned by Paramount Sales, was also purchased by John Ferguson, for $250,000. The colt is a half-brother to stakes winners Zeewat and Henny Jenney.
