A Shin Cool D gets fourth SW of 2011

A Shin Cool D, Distorted Humor’s second leading earner of 2011, racked up her fourth added money score this year in Japan on Nov. 25 when the gray or roan 5-year-old took a seven furlong contest at Kasamatsu Racecourse over a track rated good.

With three weeks left in the year, Distorted Humor sits atop the 2011 North American sire list, with more than $10.1 million in progeny earnings. His 18 stakes winners are also tops in that category. A Shin Cool D, who has now won $1,148,398 from a mark of 8-4-1 in 24 starts, is the leading overseas earner for her sire and is one of nine offspring by Distorted Humor to have earned in excess of $1 million in their career.

Bred in Kentucky by Winchester Farm, A Shin Cool D is out of Catalina, who is a half-sister to Santa Anita H. (G1) winner and $1.14 million earner Sir Beaufort.
