Advice to Ships to Hollywood for Swaps

Coolmore Lexington Stakes (gr. II) winner Advice will be shipped from Kentucky to California for the $300,000 Swaps Stakes (gr. II) at Hollywood Park July 18, according to the Inglewood track’s racing office.

Jockey Garrett Gomez has taken a call on the WinStar Farms colt for trainer Todd Pletcher. He is to ship July 13. The Swaps is for 3-year-olds at 1 1/8 miles on Cushion Track.

Advice, who won the Lexington at Keeneland in April, followed that effort with a 13th-place finish in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I). In his most recent start, he ran fourth June 13 in the Jefferson Cup (gr. IIT) in his initial try on turf at Churchill Downs.

The Florida-bred son of Chapel Royal has won two of eight starts and earned $269,896.

Advice will be joined in the Swaps by Lexington runner-up Conservative, who was shipped to Hollywood from New York by Hall of Fame trainer Shug McGaughey June 30. Conservative worked five furlongs in :59 2/5 over the Cushion Track July 12.

The two Eastern invaders are expected to face Affirmed Handicap (gr. III) winner Grazen, along with Affirmed challengers Misremembered, Quindici Man, Scorewithcater, Dover Street Art, and multiple stakes-placed Massone.
