C B Bodemester easily handled his foes in a one-mile maiden special weight contest Friday at Timonium, winning by 2 1/2-lengths after taking over the lead about half-way through the race.
C B Bodemester is the fourth maiden special weight winner for Bodemeister, a group that includes the $200,000 Astoria S. winner Bode’s Dream. Bodemeister currently ranks sixth on the 2016 Freshman Sire list.
The winner was bred by S. Barton Inc. and is owned by Charles Biggs. C B Bodemester is the second foal out of Secret Indy; his third dam Private Status produced Kentucky Oaks (G1) winner and millionaire Secret Status, multiple graded stakes winner Alumni Hall and stakes winner Private Gift.
