Another stakes winner for Harlan’s Holiday

Hitechnoweenie stepped clear in the Prairie Meadows stretch to draw off to a three length win Saturday’s $60,000 Panthers S. at one mile for 3-year-old fillies.

The winner is the fifth stakes winner of 2013 for his sire Harlan’s Holiday, whose progeny have earned just over $3 million this year, making him a top-10 sire in Kentucky. With 77 winners to date this year, Harlan’s Holiday ranks second among all sires in North America in that category.

Hitechnoweenie, winner of three of seven starts and $109,722, had plenty left for her stretch run after rating in third for most of the trip. She got the distance in 1:37.14 on a “good” track.

Hitechnoweenie matched the feat of her dam Hi Tech Honeycomb, who took the 2002 rendition of the Panthers.
