Distorted Humor is #1 Sire at Saratoga Select

Distorted Humor was the leading sire by average at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Sale, held August 5 and 6 in Saratoga Springs.

Five yearlings by the Champion Sire sold during the venue, for an average price of $567,000, nearly double the overall sale average of $295,093.

Leading the sales figures for Distorted Humor was Hip 23, a filly out of Cascading who sold for $1,000,000 to Live Oak Plantation, second highest price of the sale. Also sold were: Hip 108, a filly out of Remember who sold for $650,000 to Solis Bloodstock; Hip 84, a colt out of Life Well Lived who sold for $525,000 to Shadwell Estate Co.; Hip 34, a colt out of Delta Princess who sold for $350,000 to Adena Springs; Hip 354, a colt out of Endless Journey who sold for $300,000 to Regis Farms.

Distorted Humor is the industry’s leading active sire by 3-year yearling average, with 93 yearlings having sold since 2011, for an average price of $317,940. He stood the 2013 season at WinStar for $100,000 live foal.
