At $475,000 Super Majesty tops F-T sale

Super Saver’s graded stakes-winning mare Super Majesty stole the spotlight during Monday’s session of the Feb.6-7 Fasig-Tipton Winter Mixed Sale with a winning bid of $475,000 Hill ‘n’ Dale Bloodstock as agent for Baoma Corp.

Consigned by Darby Dan Farm, agent and cataloged as hip No. 238, the lively bidding for 5-year-old Super Majesty finally ended with Donato Lanni’s winning bid.

“This is February, so I thought she stood out here,” said Lanni, Hill ‘n’ Dale’s bloodstock services director. “We are happy to have her. She was a really good race mare.”

Super Majesty showed her star potential immediately, winning her debut by some 6 1/4-lengths, then destroying a field of allowance foes by 15, both in the summer of 2015. She would go on to win Churchill Downs’ Dogwood S. (G3) that fall, then place in a pair of stakes last year.
