Big numbers for More Than Ready at KEE

The Keeneland April 2-years-olds in Training Sale marked another auction highlight for More Than Ready as the WinStar stallion’s two offerings were both top-10 sellers at the prestigious one-day auction on April 7.

Hip No. 11, a filly offered by Niall Brennan, agent, went for $400,000 to Three Chimneys Farm, agent. The filly is out of the multiple stakes winner Miss Seffens and is a full sister to More Than Real, winner of the 2010 Breeders Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf (G2).

Hip No. 96 brought a winning bid of $310,000 from Rockingham Ranch. The bay colt was consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. and is out of the multiple graded stakes-winning mare Elusive Diva.

More Than Ready had his first Grade 1 winner of 2014 this past Saturday when the 3-year-old filly Room Service won Keeneland’s Ashland S., a key prep for the May 2 Kentucky Oaks (G1).
