Big prices for Distorted Humor 2yos at Fasig-Tipton Florida

Distorted Humor was among the leading sires at the March 4 Fasig-Tipton Florida Select 2-year-old sale, with a pair of colts bringing $500,000 and $325,000, for an average of $412,500.

Hip No. 82 led the way for his sire. Consigned by Hoby and Layna Kight, agent, the half-million dollar purchase was bought by Third Street Stable. The colt is the first foal out of Satans Quick Chick, winner of the Raven Run S. (G2). 

Hip No. 121 was consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. and went to Zayat Stables. The colt is out of Wild Poppy, a half-sister to champion 3-year-old filly Surfside, a daughter of champion 2-year-old Flanders. 

Two-time champion sire Distorted Humor is represent this year by Grade 2 winner Surfer as well as Rampart S. (G3) winner House Rules.
