Plus One, a 2-year-old filly from the second crop of Bluegrass Cat, made a sharp debut at the races on May 25, rolling to a 4 3/4-length victory in a $39,000 maiden special weight at Presque Isle Downs.

The chestnut filly vied for the early lead before proving too fast for her rivals in the stretch, drawing off decisively to cross the wire alone in the 4 1/2-furlong contest. The final time was 51.69 seconds over the local Tapeta surface, earning the filly a solid 72 Beyer for the performance – one of the fastest for a juvenile this early in the season.

Plus One is a daughter of four-time graded stakes-winner and millionaire Miswaki mare License Free. Bred by WinStar Farm, she is owned by WinStar and Blazing Meadows Farm LLC. Timothy Hamm trains.
