Laurie’s Rocket became the latest stakes winner this year by New York’s Leading Sire Bluegrass Cat, as the 4-year-old colt proved fastest in the $75,000 Hot Springs S. on March 23rd at Oaklawn.
The win was Laurie’s Rocket’s second stakes triumph at Oaklawn, as he also captured the Bachelor S. last year at the Hot Springs oval as a 3-year-old. Trained by D. Wayne Lukas for owner Willis Horton, Laurie’s Rocket increased his earnings to $373,938 by picking up his third win in his last four starts.
