Bodemeister yearling brings $400K at Fasig-Tipton Saratoga

The first session of the Aug. 8-9 Fasig Tipton Saratoga Yearling Sale saw Bodemeister’s lone offering bring a winning bid of $400,000 from Alex and Jo Ann Lieblong.

Cataloged as hip No. 24, the filly was consigned by Bridie Harrison as agent for Peter Blum Thoroughbreds. The dark bay filly, named Trust, is out of the Vindication mare Faithful, whose 2-year-old Truthful is a full sister to Trust.

Faithful’s siblings include Ashland S. (G1) winner Well Chosen, dam of Sword Dancer Inv. (G1) winner Telling, as well as Cherry Hill Mile (G3) winner In Contention.

Freshman sire Bodemeister has already accounted for the brilliant $200,000 Astoria S. winner Bode’s Dream among his first runners.

Bodemeister has an additional four yearlings cataloged for Saratoga’s Tuesday evening session.
