Bode’s Dream still perfect after House Party S. score

The brilliant 2-year-old filly Bode’s Dream ran her record to 3-for-3 on Saturday with commanding performance in the House Party S. at Gulfstream Park.

Previous winner of the $200,000 Astoria S. over the summer at Belmont Park, Bode’s Dream is now the top earner for her sire Bodemeister, who now ranks third on the 2016 First-Crop Sire list with progeny earnings exceeding $900,000.

Bode’s Dream sprang quickly out of the gate in the six-furlong House Party and immediately assumed the top spot. Zipping through a quarter-mile in :22.48 and a half in :45.42, Bode’s Dream had Wildcat Kate hot on her heels, but her pursuer could not keep up in the stretch as flashy gray filly splashed home a 2 3/4-length winner in 1:11.16 over the sloppy racetrack.

Owned by St. Elias Stable, Bode’s Dream upped her lifetime earnings to $180,105 in her three victories. Bred in Kentucky by SF Bloodstock, Bode’s Dream is out of Frolic’s Dream, herself a two-time stakes winner at two who would go on to win the Forward Gal S. (G2) the following season.
