Colonel John tops KY frosh sire list

With five winners, four stakes horses, and $368,172 in progeny earnings, Colonel John is Kentucky's leading freshman sire of 2013. His latest winner came Sept. 14 at Golden Gate Fields, as the filly Time and Tides won her debut in sharp fashion by 2 1/4-lengths (VIDEO).

Time and Tides, a Paul and Karen Eggert homebred, is out of Not Enough Time, who is a half-sister to Behaving Badly, winner of the Grade 1 Santa Monica H. and four other graded stakes.
