After picking up his 130th lifetime stakes winner earlier in the afternoon, Distorted Humor got his second black type winner of the day when Crittenden battled to a neck victory in the $75,000 Let It Ride S. Saturday at Del Mar.
Winner of the PDJF S. earlier this year, 3-year-old Crittenden found himself chasing pacesetter Acceptance for most of the one mile on the turf, ultimately ranging up on the outside to wear down the leader, winning by a neck in 1:34.56 on the firm turf.
Trained by Eoin Harty of Godolphin Racing, Crittenden is 4-1-1 in 11 starts and has earned $172,615. The homebred chestnut is out of Calla Lilly a multiple stakes-placed sister to Arlington Million (G1) winner Hardest Core.
