Daredevil gets second winner in as many days

First-Crop sire Daredevil was represented by his second maiden special weight winner on Thursday at Churchill Downs when Shedaresthedevil rallied in upper stretch to win going away by 3 1/4-lengths [WATCH RACE].

The victory came just one day after Better The Devil gave the WinStar stallion his first winner.

Despite a bit of an awkward start from her inside post, then getting squeezed back going for the turn, Shedaresthedevil made a bold three-wide move coming into the stretch, then ran by Collude to take a lead she would not relinquish. The final time for the 5 1/2-furlongs was 1:04.84 on a fast main track.

“Shedaresthedevil is a talent for [trainer Norm Casse]. She had everything go wrong early, and yet she kept it together and won for fun. She showed it in the morning, and did it in the afternoon.” – Racingwithbruno, Twitter.

Owned by Glencrest Farm and bred by WinStar, Shedaresthedevil is out of the Congrats mare Starship Warpspeed, also the dam of graded stakes-placed Mojovation.
