Distorted Humor filly cruises home by 12 1/2

Too Shy Shy, a 3-year-old daughter of Distorted Humor, galloped home a 12 1/2-length winner May 9 at Delaware Park to break her maiden in her second career start, covering the six furlongs in 1:10.61 with plenty left in reserve.

The chestnut filly is a half-sister to Eclipse champion older horse Lawyer Ron, who won six graded stakes and nearly $2.8 million in his career.

Too Shy Shy dueled for the lead through the first quarter mile, then shook off her challenger on the turn to draw off as she pleased. She earned $28,800 for the win.

Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings LLC bred the winner in Kentucky. She went through the auction ring during the 2009 Keeneland September yearling sale, where she brought $100,000 from her current owner Robert E. Ryan. She is trained by MacLean Robertson.
