Distorted Humor in-foal mare sells at Fasig-Tipton for $4.9 million

Grade I winner Love and Pride, in foal to Distorted Humor, brought $4.9 million at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November sale on Monday. The sale price was the second highest of the prestigious one-day auction.

Consigned by Three Chimneys Sales, agent, the 5-year-old daughter of A.P. Indy was bought by Borges Torrealba Holdings. Love and Pride won the 2012 Zenyatta S. (G1), Personal Ensign S. (G1) and Obeah S. (G3) on the way to a career earnings mark of $985,760.

“We thought she stood out in this sale, among the bunch we saw here,” said Torrealba. “I mean, A.P. Indy, Storm Cat, in foal to Distorted Humor, suitable for mating. It doesn’t get better than that.”
