First-year sire Gemologist racked up his 12th winner of 2016 on Nov. 7 when first-time starter Tighten Up broke his maiden by 1 1/4-lengths at Parx.
Gemologist’s dozen winners include Yellow Agate, winner of the Frizette S. (G1) and Futurity S. (G3) winner Theory. Gemologist will stand at WinStar Farm in 2017 for $25,000 stands and nurses.
Tighten Up, bred in Kentucky by Rosilyn Polan, comes from the same family as Grade 2 winner So Long George as well as multiple stakes winner America America.
