Gerry Duffy named stallion seasons director

Gerry Duffy has been named stallion seasons director at WinStar Farm, it was announced by the farm Saturday. Duffy comes to WinStar after working on the stallion nominations team at Darley America for the last five years.

“We’re thrilled to have Gerry on board and look for him to be a key part of the WinStar team,” said WinStar President & CEO Elliott Walden. “Gerry is a sharp horseman who is very well-liked in the breeding industry, and he brings experience, passion and a youthful energy that will serve our breeders well.”

Duffy will be in charge of selling seasons for WinStar’s expanded roster of stallions for 2012, which was announced Friday.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to join such a premier farm as WinStar,” said Duffy. “The roster that has been built here is impressive, and having the chance to work with stallions of this caliber makes the opportunity that much more attractive. I can’t wait to get started working with breeders on a successful upcoming breeding season for all.”
