WinStar Farm's homebred colt Charge Now by Tiznow got his first win Saturday at Gulfstream Park in a tough 1 1/16-mile maiden special weight affair for 3-year-olds (VIDEO).

The bay colt, trained by Bill Mott, chased in second for most of the trip before taking over in the final furlong, winning by a length and a quarter to finish the distance in 1:43.66.

Charge Now is out of Supercharger, the dam of WinStar's 2010 Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver as well as Sam F. Davis S. (G3) winner Brethren. Super Saver is standing the 2014 season at WinStar for $17,500 LFS&N.
