Harlan’s Holiday filly wins Florida Oaks

Dynamic Holiday finished strongly down the center of the track to register a 1 3/4-length decision over a fast-closing Holidaysatthefarm to capture the Florida Oaks. Niji’s Grand Girl, the 5-2 favorite, finished another length further back in third. The Grade 3 Oaks was run on turf for the first time this year.

Dynamic Holiday, a 3-year-old daughter of Harlan’s Holiday, posted her third straight victory in the Oaks. Each of her two previous wins had been by a nose, including Calder’s Tropical Park Oaks on New Year’s Day.

Dynamic Holiday paid $8 after covering the distance in 1:45.56 seconds over a firm course.

“The filly’s done great,” said Motion. “She’s matured since Belmont and I think she’s getting better and better.”
