Haveyougoneaway pre-entered in Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1)

Congrats’, North America’s leading sire of winners in 2016, will have a starter in the Breeders’ Cup for the third consecutive year when Haveyougoneaway contests the Nov. 5 Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint (G1) at Santa Anita Park.

Haveyougoneaway earned her way into the race with a rousing win in the Ballerina S. (G1) Aug. 27 at Saratoga, a Breeders’ Cup Challenge race. The victory was her third straight, all coming in stakes, including the Honorable Miss S. (G2) , also at Saratoga.

Five-year-old Haveyougoneaway has earned nearly $900,000 for co-owners Gary Barber and Sequel Racing, while compiling an ultra-impressive 11-4-6 record from 26 starts.

The $1 million Filly and Mare Sprint, race 10, drew an overflow field of 17 pre-entrants for the seven furlong contest. Official post positions for the Breeders’ Cup will be drawn on Oct. 31.
