King Henry speeds to victory in Penn Dash

Congrats’ King Henry proved best once again in the $50,000 Penn Dash S. on Saturday, taking the five furlong sprint for the second time in his career.

The 5-year-old outran his foes with his quick early turn of foot, setting the pace every step of the way, drawing clear by four lengths in the stretch before gearing down late to win by 1 3/4-lengths in :57.56 seconds on a fast track (VIDEO).

For Congrats, King Henry makes his ninth stakes horse of 2014. The month of May has been particularly productive, with four stakes horses on record.

King Henry’s record now stands at 11-12-8 from 43 starts, with earnings of $332,584. He was bred in Florida by Derek Thomas Evans and is owned by Ronald Ulrich.
