More Than Ready colt rolls in debut

Daredevil made short work of a field of maiden 2-year-old Saturday at Belmont Park, striding to a 6 ¼ length score in the career debut for the chestnut son of More Than Ready.

After John Velazquez hustled the Todd Pletcher trainee to the lead right out of the gate, Daredevil had thing his own way the rest of the six furlongs, widening his margin throughout to stop the timer in 1:09.87 for the six furlongs on a muddy surface (VIDEO).

The winner is owned by his breeders Marianne and Brandon Chase and is a half-brother to Donn H. (G1) and Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile winner Albertus Maximus.
