More Than Ready, already an international champion sire, is passing on that influence to his sons standing at stud as well. Sebring, an 8-year-old son of More Than Ready standing at Widden Stud in his native Australia, got his first Grade 1 winner on Saturday when Dissident captured the ATC Randwick Guineas over 1600 meters (about 1 mile).
Sebring, a Group 1 winner in his own right, was Champion 2YO of Australasia. He was Australia’s leading first season sire by stakes winners, stakes performers & overall individual winners in 2012/13, following in the footsteps of More Than Ready, who was champion Australian sire of 2-year-olds in 2007-08, 2008-09, and second on Australia’s General Sire List in 2007-08.
