Overanalyze colt realizes $315,000 opening day of OBS April sale

Freshman sire Overanalyze had his top-selling 2-year-old of 2017 during the first day of the April 25-28 OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training.

Kenji Ryotokuji was the winning bidder, at $315,000 for the colt consigned by Envision Equine. The dark bay Kentucky-bred had worked a quarter-mile in 21 seconds flat during last week’s Under Tack Show.

The colt is out of the winning producer Centerpiece and is from a female family that includes brilliant 2-year-old Champion Colt Shared Belief, as well as sires Pirate’s Bounty and Half Ours.

Overanalyze, a multiple graded stakes winner of over $1 million, was represented by his first winner on April 20 when Analyze the Odds won at first asking in a $100,000 maiden special weight race at Aqueduct. Overanalyze currently stands for a fee of $10,000 stands and nurses.
