Joining Mike Puhich's barn two starts back, the 3-year-old filly was a close third in the Irish Day S. on July 1 before Sunday's win. Her overall record improved to 2-3-3 in 11 starts, with earnings of $123,799.
Sunday's impressive victory came after Princess of the Nyl trailed the six-horse field for the first half of the 1 1/8-mile contest. Sweeping to the lead at the top of the stretch, the bay filly powered home an easy winner in 1:51.24.
Princess of the Nyl is owned by Muddy Waters Stables and was bred in Kentucky by Guy and Diane Snowden. Her dam Arabisini hails from the same family as the champion filly Althea, Grade 1 winner Aldiza and multiple graded stakes winner Twining and Aquilegia.
