Rebranded heats up Riley Allison Futurity

Tiznow got his latest stakes winner Sunday when 2-year-old Rebranded battled to a maiden-breaking, two-length win in the $100,000 Riley Allison Futurity at Sunland Park (VIDEO).

Along with Strong Mandate, Rebranded gives Tiznow a strong one-two punch for the upcoming 2014 Triple Crown. Strong Mandate won the Grade 1 Hopeful S. at Saratoga this summer and came back to be a very good third in the Nov. 2 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1).

Rebranded overcame a three-wide trip in the one mile Futurity, wresting the lead from Alsono in mid-stretch, then pulling away late to secure the victory. The final time was 1:38.73 over a fast track.

With the $62,880 payday, Rebranded upped his lifetime earnings $84,580.

Bred in Kentucky by Mt. Brilliant Farm and Ranch LLC, Rebranded sold for $350,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Florida Sale of 2-year-olds in March. He comes from the same female family as 2-year-old champion Halfbridled, and graded stakes winners Lu Ravi and At the Half.
