Down the backstretch, Rushing Fall was in eighth in the four path. Going into the turn, she began to make up ground despite being very wide and made the lead coming into the stretch. In deep stretch, Rushing Fall was never seriously threatened, winning by a length by a late-closing Best Performance in 1:36.09 on the firm turf..

“She’s a very professional filly. I love the way she does things,” said winning trainer Chad Brown. “She’s a very special filly. She’s three for three and has won on soft turf and firm turf.”

The big payday upped Rushing Fall’s earnings to $685,000 for e Racing Thoroughbreds. The winner was bred in Kentucky by Fred Hertrich III and John Fielding and sold for $320,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Select Yearling sale.
