WinStar Farm freshman sire Kodiak Kowboy got his third winner on August 18, when Drop In cruised to an easy 2 1/2-length victory going 5 1/2-furlongs against maiden special weight company.
Coming off a runner-up finish in her July 24 debut, the 2-year-old filly went gate to wire on Sunday, to score a handy win for owner Monica Schilling and trainer Tom Scherder. With three total winners to date, Kodiak Kowboy is sixth on the Kentucky First-Crop sire list. He stood the past season at WinStar for $6,500, LFS&N.
