Second MSW winner in two days for Super Saver at Saratoga

For the second time in two days, a Super Saver 2-year-old put on an impressive show in a Saratoga maiden special weight contest, vaulting the first-year sire to the second spot on the Freshman Sire list.

In Sunday’s third race, the filly High Dollar Woman put away Paulassilverling after zipping through a half-mile in :45.73, then drew clear in the stretch to win by 1 1/4-lengths, getting the six furlongs on a muddy track in 1:11.63.

Bred in Kentucky by WinStar Farm, High Dollar Woman is the second foal out of the multiple graded stakes-placed mare Melissa Jo. The filly was consigned to the 2014 OBS March Select Sale, where she brought a top-10 winning bid of $675,000 from Alex and JoAnn Lieblong.
