Solid results keep coming at Keeneland for Fed Biz

The Nov. 8-20 Keeneland November Sale is into its second week, but the strong results for weanlings from the first crop of Fed Biz continued, with a $170,000 colt selling on Monday.

The dark bay colt, cataloged as hip No. 2366 and consigned by VanMeter-Gentry, agent, went to Machmer Hall. The Kentucky-bred is the first foal out of Ascot Momma, who is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Five Star Mamma. Their dam Momma in Law, is a full sister to Grade 3 winner and stakes producer England’s Rose.

Fed Biz has been one of the most well-received first-crop stallions in this year’s weanling market, with a current average sale price of $75,678. The WinStar stallion was bred to 275 mares his first two seasons and will stand in 2017 for $10,000 live foal.
