Strong Barretts numbers for Harlan’s Holiday

Harlan’s Holiday got a strong reception from buyers at the March 4 Barretts Select Sale of 2-year-olds, with a pair of juveniles bringing a winning bid of a quarter million dollars.

Hip No. 116, a filly consigned by Clare Dunn’s Wavertree Stables, Inc., was bought by Narvick International Inc. for $325,000. The bay Kentuky bred is the first foal out of Tasha’s Miracle, who won the Grade 3 Sorrento S. and Grade 3 Harold Ramser S. Tasha’s Miracle is a half-sister to the Grade 2-placed filly Deb’s Charm and also stakes-placed  Early Vintage.

Hip No. 92, a bay colt consigned by SVG Thoroughbreds, sold to Nick De Meric, agent, for $250,000. The dark bay juvenile, also bred in Kentucky, is out of the unraced Dynaformer mare Rietondale. She is out of Aletta Maria, a top-class producer of millionaire and Grade 1 winner Cetewayo, Beverly D. (G1) champ Dynaforce, and Grade 2 winner Bowman Mill.
