No. 1-ranked Third-Crop Sire Take Charge Indy, the regally-bred son of A.P. Indy out of multiple Grade 1 winner, Graded stakes producer, and Broodmare of the Year Take Charge Lady, has arrived at WinStar Farm for the 2020 breeding season and will be available for inspection beginning at Monday’s Open House, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Open Houses continue through Nov. 11.
With progeny earnings of $5.2 million thus far this year, Take Charge Indy leads all third-crop sires. His top runners in 2019 include Long Range Toddy, winner of the Rebel S. (G2) and an earner of $918,709 to date; Preakness S. (G1) and Holy Bull S. (G2) runner-up Everfast; multiple Graded stakes-placed Motion Emotion, and stakes winner and Graded stakes-placed Pole Setter.
