Who’s Hot powered to a front-running victory in a seven-furlong Santa Anita maiden special weight contest on Saturday afternoon to become the second impressive maiden winner for leading Second-Crop Sire Gemologist (VIDEO).
Among Gemologist’s 14 winners this year are Grade 3 stakes winner Golden Diamond and stakes-placed Gemologister.
Who’s Hot was bred in Kentucky by Christiana Stables and is out of the Grade 3-placed mare Copelan’s Angel and is a half-brother to the stakes winner Fly Away Angel. The bay colt sold for $200,000 at the OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in April, 2016.
