WinStar to launch new stallion barn with drawings for stallion seasons
Friday, January 04, 2013

WinStar Farm announced it will conduct drawings for its “Breed to Win” promotion that will reward supportive breeders with a complimentary 2013 breeding season to 15 WinStar stallions. The drawings will be held Saturday, Feb. 9th at 11 a.m. at the launch of WinStar's new state-of-the-art stallion complex in Versailles, which opens for the 2013 breeding season.

The “Breed to Win” promotion will consist of one complimentary season drawing for each of the 15 stallions, which will include Super Saver, Bellamy Road, Drosselmeyer, Spring At Last, Gemologist, Colonel John, Pioneerof the Nile, Sidney's Candy, Artie Schiller, Pure Prize, Kodiak Kowboy, Street Hero, Hold Me Back, U S Ranger and Maimonides. Breeders eligible for the 15 drawings will be those who have signed a 2013 contract to one of the coorelating 15 stallions by a deadline of Feb. 8th at noon.

“With 4 WinStar stallions finishing in the Top 15 on the 2012 General Sires List, we wanted to show appreciation to our breeders who have played such a huge role in WinStar's growing success,” said Elliott Walden, WinStar's President & CEO. “By noon on February 8th, if you hold an existing 2013 live foal contract to any of our stallions standing for $20,000 or under you will be eligible to win a free season.”

Gerry Duffy, WinStar's Stallion Director, added: “Not many farms are willing to give away $156,000 in stallion seasons, but we want our breeders to have the opportunity to capitalize during these difficult times. WinStar is continuing to strive ahead with the opening of our new stallion facility, and we felt this was a positive way to launch our new barn.”
