Zenden first stakes winner for Fed Biz

WinStar Farm’s top-10 Freshman Sire Fed Biz got his first stakes winner Saturday at Gulfstream Park when Zenden tallied a 2-length victory in the Buffalo Man S.

The 2-year-old colt, who broke his maiden by a nearly identical margin on Sept. 29, is undefeated in two starts for Pichi Investments and has earned $78,570 in his budding career.

Breaking very well from his outside post in the field of seven, Zenden relinquished the lead to Jackson soon after. Hot on the heels of the pacesetter through the first three furlongs, Zenden poked a head in front outside the quarter pole, then finally edge clear in deep stretch to get the six furlongs in 1:12.32.

Bred in Kentucky by Brent and Beth Harris, Zenden is out of You Laughin, whose siblings include three-time Grade 1 winner Sweet Reason and Grade 3 winner Don’t Forget Lil.

Fed Biz’s stellar first crop numbers 10 winners and five stakes-placed horses in addition to Zenden to date. One of the most popular young stallions on the market, he bred 159 mares in 2018 and will stand for $10,000 next year.
