Harlan’s Holiday sired nine stakes winners in his first crop, and 18 more from his next three crops. These include G1 winner and Experimental second high-weight INTO MISCHIEF ($597,080); G1 winner and Eclipse Award Finalist MAJESTICPERFECTION; Kentucky Derby (G1)/Belmont (G1) placed DENIS OF CORK ($613,252); 2012 Dubai Group winner MENDIP ($888,461), 2012 Graded SW/Kentucky Oaks (G1) contender SUMMER APPLAUSE ($348,406), 2012 SW/Vosburgh (G1) runner-up RILEY TUCKER ($667,116).
In the opening weeks of 2012, Harlan's Holiday sired three major stakes winners, four Graded stakes horses, and was covering sire on a $250,000 mare. His Keeneland short yearlings averaged 35% higher than his 2011 yearlings overall. Through mid-May, he had already sired eight stakes horses, four stakes winners, and earners of nearly $2,000,000. His 16 two-year-olds in training are averaging a hefty $108,421, with eight colts averaging over $162,000. In 2011, he sired the Sale Topper at the Fasig-Tipton July Yearling Sale ($310,000) and was the Leading Sire by average among all horses with 3 or more sold ($131,000). Harlan's Holiday was bred to 162 mares in 2010 and 158 in 2011, and in 2011, was selected as one of Bill Oppenheim’s 25 Value Sires.
