$200,000 colt Sunday at Keeneland for Carpe Diem

Sunday’s session of the Keeneland November sale featured a $200,000 colt from the first crop of Carpe Diem, the third-highest price paid for a weanling by the WinStar stallion thus far in the Nov. 7-18 auction.

Taylor Made Sales agency consigned the colt, hip No. 1810, with Bloodstock Investments V making the purchase.

The chestnut youngster is out of a sister to multiple graded stakes winner Mendip and black type winner Dig Deep, while his third dam is the multiple Grade 1 winner Chaposa Springs.

After breeding over 300 mares in his first two books, Carpe Diem will stand the 2018 season for $25,000 live foal.
