$400,000 filly tops terrific F-T Saratoga sale for Exaggerator

Tuesday’s closing session of the Aug. 5-6 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Yearling Sale yielded the best result of the sale for first-crop sire Exaggerator, with a filly bringing a top bid of $400,000.

Consigned by Select Sales agent on behalf of Coteau Grove Farms, hip No. 214 went to Kerri Radcliffe, agent. The gray or roan filly is the second foal out of Elitism, whose first runner by Congrats was a winner at age 2. Elitism is a full sister to Withers S. (G3) winner and Cigar Mile H. (G1) runner-up Harlem Rocker.

Exaggerator closed the Saratoga sale with a sparkling average of $337,500, giving him plenty of momentum heading into the Keeneland September Yearling sale, where he has 78 individuals in the catalog.
