$550K for Distorted Humor yearling at Saratoga

Champion sire Distorted Humor notched another high-profile auction yearling Monday evening at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearlings sale with a colt that brought a winning bid of $550,000, the third-highest figure paid for a colt during day of the Aug. 4-5 auction.

Hip No. 29 was consigned by Taylor Made Sales, agent and went to prominent buyer John Ferguson. The juvenile, a chestnut with a narrow blaze like his father, is the first foal out of Joanie’s Catch, who won two stakes and earned over a half-million dollars on the racetrack.
