$750,000 filly new top at Keeneland for Distorted Humor

Distorted Humor, the number one broodmare sire of 2017, had his top yearling of the first four sessions of the Keeneland September Yearling sale on Thursday when a filly brought a winning bid of $750,000.

Consigned by Lane’s End, agent and already named No Joke, hip No. 900 went to Robert and Lawana Low.

The bay filly is out of Unenchanted Evening, whose five winner include stakes winner and Grade 2-placed colt Indian Evening and stakes-placed Mo for the Money. Unenchanted Evening is a half-sister to Horse of the Year Favorite Trick.

Distorted Humor has 18 lots in the remainder of the sale, which resumes on Saturday and runs through Sept. 23.
