Another sharp 2yo Harlan’s Holiday winner

Harlan’s Holiday tallied his tenth 2-year-old winner of 2012 on Monday at Saratoga when Notacatbutallama strolled to a 6 1/2-length maiden special weight score [Video] on a firm turf course.

Four different Harlan’s Holiday juveniles have already won stakes this year, best among all 2-year-old sires. His ten winners have amassed $564,119 in earnings, which ranks third on the juvenile sire list.

Notacatbutallama, bred in New York by Happy Hill Farm, tracked in second for the first six furlongs of the 1 1/16-mile trip, then drew off with ease when his rider asked at the top of the stretch. The final time was 1:43.67 on the firm turf.

The winner is now owned by Repole Stable, who bought him for $105,000 at this April’s OBS Spring 2-year-old sale. The bay colt is out of the stakes-placed mare Self Rising.
