Audible has highest-priced First-Crop Yearling at Fasig-Tipton sale

Grade 1 winner Audible had the top yearling by any First-Crop sire at the recently concluded Fasig-Tipton Winter Mixed sale when hip No. 462 brought a top bid of $165,000.

The filly, consigned by Blake-Albina Thoroughbred Services and bred by Newtown Anner Stud, went to Castleton Way.

The dark bay filly is the second foal out of stakes winner Rachel’s Temper.

Audible, who stands this year at WinStar Farm for $25,000 S&N, was the second-leading First-Crop sire of 2021 by weanling average price, at $103,813, and was one of only two freshman sires to have a six-figure average price.

Winner of the Florida Derby (G1) and more than $2 million, Audible bred an average of 204 mares his first two seasons at WinStar.
