Embellish the Lace appears a filly with a very bright future after the 2-year-old Super Saver filly rocketed to a 10 ¼-length maiden special weight win Saturday at Parx (VIDEO).
With just two weeks left in the year, Super Saver is ranked second on the First Crop Sire list with progeny earnings of $1,468,885 and leads all freshman sires with seven stakes horses. He will stand the 2015 season for $35,000 stands and nurses.
Embellish the Lace, bred in Kentucky by WinStar Farm, is out of the Distant View mare Expanse, making her a half-sister to Travers S. (G1) winner Afleet Express and the multiple stakes winner Reporting for Duty. Alex and JoAnn Lieblong purchased the bay filly for $320,000 at the 2013 Keeneland September Yearling sale.
